Summer is here!

Father's Day

Today was an exciting Father's Day. It started early with hugs from everyone. After fueling up with breakfast, it was off to participate in the second annual Sunday Parkways in our neighborhood. 7.5 miles of roads were closed to traffic. Everyone came out to bike, run, walk or skip along in the street. The several parks on route had music (including a recorder orchestra that fascinated Felix), games, and food. He was so excited to ride next to his daddy! By the end of the day, Felix had ridden his bike approximately 4 miles. What a day!

Strawberries!

We have so many strawberries from our garden, we don't know what to do with them! Not a bad problem to have.

Air National Guard - Family Day

Our neighbor Joe invited us to visit the Air National Guard base at PDX for a chance to see some of the fighter planes & helicopters up close. It was fun to see all the parts of an F-15 on the ground, and then watch a few of them take off. After getting home, Felix had lots to talk about including a flying machine with a really loud engine that he was building up in the secret room.
