This weekend Felix participated in a lantern walk put together by his school. Kids dressed up in their costumes and met at a local park to carry their handmade lanterns and collect small treats along the way. Felix had a blast as a spider!

10 Years!
10 years ago last week, Joshua and Elise went on a crazy adventure that included a flat tire, sitting on the beach and lots of laughs. Who'd of guessed that all these years later, they'd still enjoy spending time together and finding little adventures to share. In celebration, Josh surprised Elise with a trip to the beach. The weather even cooperated and we had an amazing sunset!

Farmers Market
Felix has been talking about the "Farmers Market" quite a bit recently. Last weekend, when mama was out of town, he gathered some fallen apples into a bucket and called out "bye-bye da-da". He went on to explain that he was going to the farmer's market. (to sell the apples, perhaps?) Intrigued, I followed him out of the backyard, down the street, and over to the bus stop, 2 blocks from our house.
While we sat there waiting for the bus, I explained that we really couldn't go all the way to the Farmers Market without getting coats, snacks, and bus fare. By the time we made it back home to gather all these things, it was too late to take the bus downtown and get back before naptime. But we did take the bus to a festival (kind of like a farmers market) at a nearby park. Felix brought his bucket o' apples, but when we got there he became more interested in the playground equipment. We still had a lot of fun that day, even if we didn't sell any apples.
