Thanksgiving

Felix enjoyed Thanksgiving in Seattle this year. He and Teddy really enjoyed playing trains together!

Nice Day For a ... White Wedding

Felix and 10 of his preschool friends were asked to be in a wedding for one of their teachers. 11 toddlers in white, waiting for the big event and then sitting through the service made for a long day. You can see that by the time they posed with the bride for pictures, not all of the kids had made it.

Weekend Getaway

While Daddy was working on the house, Mommy and Felix took a little camping trip to the beach with some school friends. The weather was beyond perfect! The kids loved playing in the sand, exploring driftwood forts and tidepool life. It was a fantastic trip!

Demo begins

With the help of our friend, Jens, our first ever home remodeling project has officially begun. Welcome to the chaos!

Annual Oregon Beach Clean-up

This was our third year participating in the Annual Oregon Beach Clean-up and it was the first time Felix wanted to help. It was a great day and part of a fun tradition.

Summer Memories

It's hard to believe that September is here and school has started again. We were very busy trying to make the summer last as long as possible. Over Labor Day, we all had fun at the orchards in Hood River. To celebrate Erica and Scott's wedding, Daddy swam in the Columbia River swim while Mommy and Felix cheered from the banks. Felix enjoyed making friends with people on the banks, including the firefighter with the big truck.

Felix's surgery went well and he is getting back to his old self. He is in a new class now and is excited for the new room and playground.

With Felix's energy level up, we took a trip to the zoo today to meet the new baby elephant that was born last month. Very cute!!!

Field Trip

Felix went on his first school field trip yesterday and because it is summer, Mommy got to go too! They went to a local pizzaria to see how pizzas are made. Each kid got to make their own personal pizza. The trip was a huge success!

Summer Fun

We've been having a fun summer so far. Felix spent the past week playing with grandparents which included excitement such as blueberry picking, swimming, flying planes and hanging out in the yard while the grownups kept talking about gardening!

Fleet Week

Today we ventured down to the waterfront to see the "Big Ships" that have come in for the Rose Festival. We took a tour of the USS Gary and Felix got to sit inside a Navy helicopter. Very exciting!

All of this Navy business had us thinking of Uncle Joe!
